By building sustainable leadership structures, advocacy tools, and collaborative networks, the project will contribute to long-term democratic inclusion, gender equality, and social cohesion, especially in Gothenburg.

Implemented from August to November 2026, the project will support 60 migrant women. Beneficiaries will jointly identify priority issues affecting migrant women and develop collective advocacy recommendations through consultations and dialogue with local stakeholders and decision-makers. Key interventions include leadership and democratic participation workshops and a mentoring program, networking circles, and advocacy. Through a series of capacity-building and awareness-raising activities, including storytelling, social media outreach, network circles, and public dialogues, a community awareness campaign will amplify migrant women’s voices, highlighting their contributions as community leaders and change-makers.
Expected results include increased civic knowledge and leadership skills among participants, greater engagement in community and advocacy activities, improved visibility of migrant women in public spaces, and strengthened partnerships within the WIDE+ network.
